[ARCHIVED] Guemes Ferry Haul-Out and Traffic Revisions:
Skagit County Public Works plans to make temporary traffic and parking revisions during the Guemes Island Ferry haul-out May 14 through June 12, 2021.
In a letter to nearby residents, the county said it wants to make sure property owners and residences on 6th Street and H Avenue, in addition to the surrounding area, know what to expect. See the traffic plan above.
Making traffic flow one-way westbound on 6th Street west of I Avenue, and allowing parking on the north side of the road, means much-needed additional parking and improved traffic flows can be made. The one-way flow will continue southbound through the curve and include H Avenue to 7th Street.
