We want the public to have access to healthy ways to recreate during these trying times, but we must also enforce the regulations set out for social distancing by the Skagit County Public Health. Together we can do this! Thank you for your patience.
Anacortes Parks and Recreation will be cancelling and postponing events and programs and closing rental facilities in accordance with the recommendations from the Skagit County Health Department.
All City of Anacortes sponsored recreation programming and events are postponed or canceled. If you have specific questions as to which programs/ these include please contact Recreation Manager Dustin South via email: email@example.com or by phone 360-299-1948.
Effective March 22: All Park Playgrounds, Sports Courts and Picnic shelters and other areas where social distancing guidelines are difficult to achieve are CLOSED.
Park Trails, Fields and Beaches remain open where social distancing can be practiced.
All rentals scheduled for the Depot Arts Center, Heart of Anacortes and Anacortes Senior Center are cancelled for the months of March and April. Renters will be given a full refund.
No future rental events at the Depot, Hearth of Anacortes and Senior Activity Center will be scheduled at this time.
We are no longer allowing groups to have organized events or practices at our ballfields at Storvik Park, Ace of Hearts/Rotary Park or Volunteer Park. We are also closing the Field House at Volunteer Park.
Our parks are still open and we encourage people to practice social distancing as they recreate on our trails and other facilities.
Events at the Washington Park Group Camp and Group Picnic are also cancelled for March and April. Renters will be given a full refund.
