The City of Anacortes seeks a professional design consultant to assist with Phase I of the project, which is anticipated to include review of the existing conditions of Fire Stations 1 and 2, design a new Fire Station 3 on property currently owned by the City, identify current and future space and operational needs, prepare conceptual design options, forecast construction and total project costs (project costs will be used to determine the amount needed for a potential bond measure) for the preferred options, and develop a list that prioritizes the schedule of each project based on City needs. In addition, the design consultant will assist in gathering stakeholder input as it relates to the needs assessment. Phase II of the project will consist of the further development of design and construction documents, permitting and bid assistance, and construction contract administration services. Upon completion of Phase I of the project, the City reserves the right to enter into contract with the same firm for Phase II services, or to solicit for Phase II.
