Adult Co-ed Softball League

Registration

Get ready for the 2023 Season!

Anacortes Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registrations for the Summer Co-ed Adult Softball League. The deadline for a team to register is Friday, June 2. The location where we play games is an alcohol and tobacco free zone. Teams or individuals not abiding by this rule may forfeit playing in games (including tournament) and team fee will not be refunded.

Wood Bat League - we have a "wood bat" rule for male players. (Female players can either hit with a aluminum or wood bat.) As part of the registration fee teams will be provided with a wood bat.

Meeting About League Rules & Procedures

All managers/coaches must attend a meeting about league rules and procedures which will be scheduled at a time later in June. Game schedules will be handed out at this time.

Forming Your Teams

Start forming your teams now. You can register your team with a debit/credit card on Parks and Recreation Department page HERE. Or if you want to pay by check please mail a check with team name and contact information to: Anacortes Parks and Recreation, Attn: Dustin South, PO Box 547, Anacortes WA 98221. A roster complete with player names, and a team name must accompany payment. Each player must sign the roster, and the fillable roster can be signed electronically. (Also, players can be added to your roster once the season starts.) Payment in full must accompany completed rosters. The fee is $450 per team. Your team will not be put on the game schedule until payment is made.

Games

Games will be played on Sundays, starting July 9. Some games may be played during weekday evenings later in the season. If there are rainouts “make-up” games will be held if schedule allows. The season will end with a “Just for Fun” single elimination tournament on August 26-27.

Practice Times

The parks and recreation department does not schedule practice times for adult softball teams. If you so desire, your team is allowed to practice before the season begins. However, you are responsible for finding your own space. (Storvik Park or Ace of Heart Field are NOT an acceptable place for batting practice.) Once again there is a demand for softball field space. Please be mindful of youth teams that may be practicing at the various fields.
