The Friends of the Anacortes Public Library will hold a book sale on Saturday, August 7 from 10 am to 1 pm on the front lawn of the Anacortes Public Library. We’ll be featuring a wide variety of genres from contemporary fiction to history, biographies, cookbooks, mysteries, nature, and science.  We’ll also have a good selection of books for children and young adults.  All proceeds fund the library’s book purchases as well as children’s programs and books. Update 8/24/20

"The Friends of the Library bookstore, the FriendShop, is currently closed temporarily due to the current health crisis in our region. We miss all of our regular customers and hope that we will be able to welcome you back once we have had an opportunity to regain access to our space. Please be patient as we work  within available guidelines as to how we can safely resume sales of gently used books to our community. Please stay tuned for  updates on this issue, which will be posted to this page and also to the Friends’ website at:

In the meantime, please join us and our wonderful bookstore volunteers as we all try to stay healthy and safe."

Please keep any book donations you have at home until the library and Friend Shop reopen in the future. You can support the Friend Shop during their closure with financial contributions!
