Jan-Mar Exhibit 2020 

Friends of the Anacortes Library Art Committee presents an exhibit of works by local artists, in the Friends Community Meeting Room. 

The artists are: Donald Caldwell, Stephen Cheng, Anne Elkins, Kathleen Faulkner, Audrey Garbacik, Jan Hodgman, Jazz Morgan, Marcia Neu, Cynthia Richardson, Aimee Rudge, and Marcel Schwarb, and Gary R. Smith.

Artworks are for sale and will benefit the Friends of the Library. 

Meet the Artists, January 4 @1:00pm. Public viewing hours: 

  • January-March, 1st & 3rd Wednesdays
  • 2nd & 4th Saturdays, 1:00-2:00pm
  • Or during any Community Room public event.

Holiday Book Sale 

Friends of the Anacortes Public Library will hold a book sale on Dec 7 from 11 am to 3 pm in the Community Room at the Library. “Pay from the heart” for an assortment of gift books. Many books will be half off; others at the always low FriendShop price. All proceeds go toward purchasing books and periodicals for the library’s collection and supporting the many special programs for children, teens and adults.

About the Friends

New Board of Directors of the Friends of the Anacortes Library;

Kandy Dubugue, Patrick Gallagher, Linda Falken, Hal Rooks, Susan Rooks, Kay O'Connell, Megan Taylor; Tress Connolly not present.

The Friends of the Library has been in service to the Anacortes Library since 1969. The FriendShop bookstore offers gently used books, CDs and movies for sale, at modest prices. Located in the foyer of the Library, the FriendShop sells donated items with all the proceeds earmarked for the purchase of books, children's programs, and other library related items.

The store is staffed by volunteers.  You are invited to come and browse.  Please call Barbara King, Interim Manager for the Friendshop, at 360-293-4930 for more information.
