GOAL:
To Facilitate the Anacortes community's efforts to plan and control its
physical, social, economic and environmental future by developing plans
and policies with the community and by reviewing and processing permit
applications under these plans and policies and their implementing
regulations. |

PROCEDURE: Applicants can come to the Land Use Permit office to learn
the application/hearing process for various administrative petitions, including,
but not limited to Home Occupations, Street Vacations, Short Plats, Shoreline
Permits, Plats, Rezones and Conditional Use Permits. The applicant will receive
the appropriate paperwork and information regarding the review process, fee and
/or hearing schedule. |

Final Draft March 2010 Anacortes Shoreline Master Program:
The City of Anacortes Department of Planning, Community & Economic
Development submitted the final draft of the Shoreline Master Program to
the Department of Ecology on March 24, 2010. The Department of Ecology
is in the process of seeking public comments until April 30, 2010 and
has scheduled a public hearing at City Hall on Wednesday April 21, 2010
at 6:00 pm. To review the Final Draft March 2010 Shoreline Master
