More than 20,000 photographs from the Anacortes Museum are now online!
The Anacortes Museum has just launched its redesigned website, now linked to a searchable database of over 18,000 Anacortes Museum records. This new online system will allow students, historians and everyone else to browse and search the photographs and artifacts in the Anacortes Museum’s collections from their home, office or iPhone. A web search for “Anacortes Museum” will bring you there.
Interact with Anacortes history!
Browse random images or try a keyword search. Find a cool photo and email the link to a friend. Now it is much easier to find out about Anacortes history, to order photographs from the Anacortes Museum, and for the community to assist museum staff by adding to the descriptions that tell the story of Anacortes.
A new tool for education!
We are excited to introduce this new tool for education, genealogy and historical research to our community. It is the culmination of years of work by museum staff, who have been inputting museum donations, including the Wallie Funk Collection, so that they are now more accessible to all.
Visit the Anacortes Museum – it’s FREE!
No admission is charged at our Carnegie Gallery or our Maritime Heritage Center, and the charge for tours of the W.T. Preston steamboat is minimal.
