Early Thursday morning, November 16, 2006, the Skagit River experienced extreme muddy conditions. Because of this, you may experience a slightly muddy or uncharacteristic taste or odor in your drinking water.  See more

The American Public Works Association (APWA) has named the Thompson Trail Trestle Project as the State of Washington’s “Project of the Year-2006” for projects under $2 million. The City received this award at APWA’s annual luncheon held in Seattle on May 23.  See more

The City of Anacortes will be closing B Avenue from 12th Street to 13th Street for approximately four weeks, starting on June 5, 2006. The street closure is necessary so that the sewage pump station can be retrofitted.  See more

The City of Anacortes held an emergency response drill on Tuesday, May 9. The drill exercised both the Emergency Operations Center, located in the Police/Court Facility, as well as actual first responder resources in the field. See more

The City of Anacortes will be closing 12th Street between the hours of 7am and 3pm on April 12th. The closure will be from D Avenue to F Avenue. West bound traffic will use a detour on 11th Street and east bound traffic will use a detour on 13th Street.  See more

PRESS RELEASE MEETINGS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF 2006 TRANSPORTATION UPDATE
The City of Anacortes will hold three meetings to receive public input for the development of the 2006 Transportation Comprehensive Plan update. The purpose of the meetings is to gather citizen input to assist with developing a detailed outline of City transportation issues for the next 20 years.
The meetings will be held in the Anacortes City Council Chambers on the following dates and times:
April 27, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
April 29, 2006 at 12:00 p.m.
May 4, 2006 at 12:00 p.m.  See more
