The Anacortes Water Treatment Plant will have a complete plant shutdown on November 14th, 2005 from 7:30am until 4:00pm. The plant shutdown is at the request of Puget Sound Energy so that they can perform reliability upgrades at the electrical substation service the Water Treatment Plant. All customers that are INSIDE the city limits of Anacortes and are served by the City’s reservoirs should NOT experience any interruption in normal service. Customers OUTSIDE the Anacortes City limits should draw a sufficient amount of water for use during this period prior to the scheduled shutdown. If you are billed for water from Skagit P.U.D. #1 and require additional information, please call 424-7104. For customers of the City of Anacortes please call Rick Harvey at 293-1921 with questions. Customers should listen to KAPS, KBRC, KLKI radio and check this website for notification of the end of the shutdown and the plant resuming to normal operations.
