Thompson Trail Retrofit Project

Wilder Construction of Everett will begin the final portion of the Thompson Trail project. Beginning at 12th and Q with the Q Avenue Reconstruction, the trail continued through the industrial zone and extended to the shoreline. The Trestle Retrofit will complete the link to March’s Point Road allowing pedestrians and cyclists a safer commute on North Fidalgo Island. Work will include:

  • remove damaged railroad ties
  • install deck support structure as needed
  • construct 12 ft. wide composite deck and observation areas
  • install pedestrian and bicyclist safety guardrail

Funding
This portion of the project will be funded by City transportation funds and the Washington State Interagency Committee (IAC) for outdoor recreation. The estimated construction cost is $564,395.
