The project this year is as follows:
1. Anaco Beach –Marine Drive Curve.
The City’s Safety program is used to identify the streets that are selected for repair or replacement due to know safety hazards. The roads are evaluated based upon visual inspection of defects, deterioration, and their safety record, which gives them a priority for replacement. The replacement of these areas is made possible through Grants and Local Funding.
This project consists of realigning and rebuilding an Eight-Hundred foot section of road lying just North of the entrance to the Marine Heights Subdivision on the Anaco Beach—Marine Drive road. The new section will be wider and super elevated. There will be room for bicycles and pedestrians.
The contractor is proposing to start construction near the end of August and the contract runs for 45 working days. The contractor will notify the residents prior to the start of construction.
