The Patrol Division of Anacortes Police Department is under the command of Captain Ken Clark (kennethc@cityofanacortes.org). Patrol Officers are the first responders in calls for service. The patrol division is also responsible for traffic enforcement, tactical response and prisoner transport. Anacortes Patrol Officers are divided in to three shifts; each headed by a Patrol Sergeant.
In 2002 the Anacortes Police Department responded to 10,538 calls for service.
