Fire Suppression Services

The City of Anacortes provides fire protection within the City Municipal boundaries, serving approximately 16,000 residents over 14 square miles. The City also shares and receives resources through a countywide mutual aid agreement.

Fire suppression services are provided via two fire stations for the City of Anacortes. Station #1 is located at 1016 13th Street. A maximum of three Firefighter/Paramedics are on duty here 24-hours per day. The administrative staff is also located here. Station #2 is located at 5209 Sunset Drive and is staffed with two Firefighter/Paramedics 24-hours per day. Volunteers carry pagers and respond when they are available.

Station 1's firefighting apparatus consists of: a 2000 American LaFrance Ladder truck 1990 Seagrave Pumper truck, 1997 Freightliner Rescue truck and a1985 GMC Pumper truck.

Station 2's firefighting apparatus consists of a 1990 Seagrave Pumper truck.

Regardless of location, all apparatus are called into service when required for an incident and we rely on assistance by adjoining fire districts and departments when needed.
