The Anacortes Public Library is looking for interested residents of the city to serve on the Board of Trustees. Effective trustees are citizens who have a desire to serve the library and the community; time to devote to board responsibilities; and willingness to serve as an advocate for library development. Trustees are appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the City Council, and serve a
five-year term. The Board meets monthly, with appropriate study and work sessions between meetings, as required.
Interested parties are asked to submit a written statement of interest, including a brief review of personal and work experience, by December 2, 2009 to Mayor Dean Maxwell, PO Box 547, Anacortes, WA, 98221.
